The Chico High School Foundation Board is proud to award $6,000 to the I-Tech Department to help purchase new computers for the lab classes taught by instructor Mike Bruggeman.

The money was raised by selling raffle tickets toward a children's playhouse built by CHS students this past summer. Ralph Meuter's ticket was pulled at the annual alumni recognition dinner held in the Big Room at Sierra Nevada Brewery last September and was given the keys to the playhouse a few days later.

The Board was very pleased with the support they received from the CHS instructors Tom Phelan and Mike Bruggeman as well as with a host of business establishments in our community. (Please see the list of supporters in the adjacent article) Since 2003, with the addition of the $6,000 gift, the Board has awarded a total of $140,000 to students through scholarships, to teachers through mini-grants, and to various departments for the purchase of needed equipment and supplies.
